Video

I am heartbroken to learn that Bill Doss, one of the founding members of the legendary band The Olivia Tremor Control, has died. The band just played last Friday night in Athens, Georgia, and on Saturday they announced a break from touring to record a new LP.

Their debut, Music from the Unrealized Film Script “Dusk At Cubist Castle” is a masterpiece of both harmonic melody and experimental meandering. The above is live video of Bill singing Jumping Fences from the OTC performance at the 2012 Pitchfork Music Festival. I got to see them once on the tour for Black Foliage and their live show was everything you imagine it might be.

Condolences to the friends, bandmates and family of Bill Doss.
