DID YOU KNOW…that John Sebastian played harmonica, credited under a pseudonym, on The Doors tune ROADHOUSE BLUES?  It’s a fact!

He also joined them for Little Red Rooster, which was released on the live album Alive, She Cried. Sebastian’s band’s name, The Lovin’ Spoonful, is a reference to the same thing that 10CC’s name is about. He had a #1 hit in 1976 with Welcome Back, the theme to the tv series Welcome Back, Kotter.

It occurs to me now that Sebastian’s voice on Welcome Back reminds me a lot of Randy Newman’s.
